Liquid filled vibration dumpers at extreme temperatures

HI all,

I’m looking at installing liquid-filled vibration dampers for my camera gimbal, something like this: TAROT NEW DAMPING BALL/GIMBAL DAMPENING SHOCK BALL/MEDIUM TL10A10 - 温州飞越航空科技有限公司

I’m in doubt about their behavior in temperatures below 0 degrees and above 30 degrees. I heard it loses dumping properties at high temperatures, but no information about negative temperatures.

Maybe someone uses this type of gear in those conditions?

Viscosity typically increases with decreasing temperature so I would expect them to become stiffer and less effective. I wouldn’t expect resonances though you definitely should check for that.

Ask the manufacturer

I’ve tried to write to the Tarot, but they are silent :man_shrugging:
