Today I tried to use an older Lightware SF02 rangefinder as a downward facing unit to have a more accurate reading of altitude but I could not get a reasonable reading. I followed the guide on Ardupilot on how to connect the unit to arducopter but the reading gives me a constant 25 meter reading. I downloaded the lightware firmware & terminal to test the unit and it does give accurate readings on the lightware terminal so I know the sensor itself is fine. I made a wire and connector to fit in the Cube ADC port and once plugged in, the sensor flashed as it was reading distances.
Are there different inputs or instruction’s for using this sensor on a Cube Orange verses the flight controller located on the following documentation?
