I have taken some time out of the hobby and just get back in with a fixed wing model. I have a Matek F765-Wing FC and a Jumper R8 II or in some places called R8 v2 which confuses me a bit. I find all kind of things about how to connect a R8 (not II) with the dedicated RX/TX pins to the FC but the R8 II has a different pin out.
Has anybody used this receiver with a FC and telemetry or will I have to get a different receiver ? I see TX/RX is the same pin, not sure how that could work with Ardupilot on the F765-Wing and how it has to be configured.
I’ve used the Jumper R8 in the past, in fact at one point it was my rx of choice. But that’s a long time ago. Not sure if it’s the same as the R8 V2 but sure looks like it.
The GND/VCC/S.BUS pins are straight forward. FrSky D16. IIRC you will need to set D16V2. Either way, it will work for a older FrSky radio, or radio with a 4-in-1 module.
The RX/TX pin go to a serial TX pin on the flight controller and this will send telemetry down so the radio can run Yaapu Telemetry Script.
I’m in the middle of moving house right now, and the one plane I have that still has one of those receivers is packed away. So all I can offer now is what’s rattling around in the back of my memory.
