Hi! I’m new to the ardupilot community and i am going to build my first plane, but i was wondering if mavlink works for telemetry data with a phone. My tx is the Radiomaster Pocket and the rx would probably be the Radiomaster RP3. I’m asking this because i’m on a really tight budget and even the cheapest sik radios would double the cost of the plane. Also if there’s any cheap alternatives I would like to know. Thanks!
MAVLink is telemetry data protocol. ELRS radios can pass MAVLink telemetry and commands over the air, for configuration details see the official ELRS documentation.
Do you know can you use it on a phone, because I can’t seem to find it anywhere?
There is a lot of info available:
ELRS Backpack
ELRS MavLink
Ardupilot ELRS RC System
And use search here on the forum for “backpack” to see all the fun people are having getting it work well.
