Is it common for quad to stall on a high speed yaw?

For instance when doing sharp turn (180degrees in acro) at high speed, I realized a half a second stall when it yaw out of control for half a turn.

It is quite common. Most times it is due to skipped configuration steps. Search for Yaw imbalance in the Forum. And try using the Methodic Configurator for Ardupilot from @amilcarlucas. As far as I have read, it helps fix those problems. And do not skip Steps. Fully configure the vehicle.

Yes, that could happen if the yaw rates are over-tuned and have high gains, causing it to prioritize yaw over altitude.
Is it properly tuned? if yes, reduce the yaw gains a bit. If not, tune it first.
