IR-LOCK trouble - please help (solved)

It works fine now. - running the “MarkOne_1.0.1.hex” after checking contents
Please consider renaming the .hex to something intuitive, like PIXY_IR.1.0.1_for_use_with_MarkOne.hex
Flashing firmware “MarkOne” (name of another product) - sounds like an error that could brick the device.

The name of the .hex file has been the same for years. Follow the link and download the ‘IR-LOCK Sensor Firmware’. It is the only firmware on the tutorial page.

Exactly, as I read it:

IR-lock Sensor firmware: (link missing)
then link to MarkOne, an completely different PCB that I have on my table.

This is highly contra-intuitive, unless one reads this like:

IR-lock Sensor firmware:
MarkOne.hex
also:
if there was a MinimOSD.hex here , I would flash that too. :)

Anyway - this is just a tip on how to make it intuitive - but I do understand that not all fancy that.
