Inverted flight in Arducopter?

I am planning on installing DJI Z430 ESCs on an arducopter based quad and just saw that they allow to switch the direction of rotation, thus allowing for inverted flight.

I didn’t see however any support for this in Copter, online in Plane.

Is this planned? I think interesting applications could come out of this, like copters that have sensors on top and switch to inverted flight before landing
