Increasing Decent Rate

Which parameters do I need to change in order to increase the rate of decent?

For an Iris? An aircraft? What are you trying to achieve?

For the IRIS, this is the IRIS forum… I want to be able to do an emergency decent if necessary.

If you want an answer you have to write a detailed description of what you want to do.
With the information you have given, I could only say, if you want to descent fast, slam the throttle stick to 0%.

Ok, well I want to be able to keep IRIS hovering in Loiter mode at 300ft until the battery is almost done then do an emergency decent in Loiter mode at a rate faster then the current -2m/s and recover about 10ft from the ground.

Just as a note - if you descent that fast and then pull the throttle up suddenly and strongly to recover, it’s pretty likely that your props will disintegrate…

Battery failsafe does the descent for you:
