Increase min/max travel zone for servos

Arduplane: FBW A mode

My servo can rotate on 180 degree. (as most other do)

When I move my RC stick then servo moves in correct directions but min and max angle are to close. I think it moves in 15 or 20 degree angle zone. Servo travel zone is too small

I would prefer a much bigger zone like 90 degree or 180 degree.

Is there some multiplier parameter that controls output values for servos?

When I go to Initial setup - Fail safe

then

RC1 RC2

default
1507 1529

roll right
1383 1401

roll left
1644 1680

pitch fwrd
1384 1660

pitch back
1607 1457

RC MIN 1350
RC MAX 1650

I would like to be able to set MIN 1000 MAX 2000

MIXING_GAIN 0.5 (tried up to 1.2)
ELEVON_MIXING 0
ELEVON_OUTPUT 2
RC1_REV 1
RC2_REV -1

The amount of travel is set when you do your radio calibration taking the limits from your radio. This should be what is comfortable after test flying and trimming in Manual.

One note I’ve discovered about radio calibration with flying wings, one has to move the sticks to all four corners not just up/down/left/right so that the full movement of the servos are registered.

In FBW-A mode though, the travel amount of roll and pitch then is limited by design. In stabilized it is not limited.

Thanks Graham,

Is it still true if I use not mixed Radio in OUTPUT_LEVEL == 2 mode?

It sounds like you have ELEVON_MIXING == 1, So you get maximum values from RC when you move sticks in corners. I will try your advice. Thanks again

So will doing a radio calibration allow my servo’s travel further??

I guess I will have to try tomorrow, my elevon in stabilize barely moves the servo throw.
