Hi all,
I was just wondering that boards like Pixhawk has so much compute capability, so why not use it for light weight Image processing. By getting depth data from sensors pixhawk can standalone do Obstacle Avoidance. If it’s possible I would be happy to contribute.
It’s not only about processing power and RTOS, also about interface.
That’s why you would prefer a companion computer, with USB host, HDMI in etc.
Even if you integrated such features into pixhawk directly, it would have less performance, and be more risky than a companion computer.
