Hi, I am using an iflight blitz 80A 4-in-1 ESC. I previously had the G2 ESC running BLHeli 32.9 and I now switched to a new one I purchased which is G3. It is running the exact same BLHeli version, the same wiring and connected to the same flight controller. For some reason I cannot get any bdshot RPM data from the ESCs in ardupilot. When I wire back in the old ESC with the exact same setup everything works perfectly so it is definitely something with the ESC. All settings are identical in BLHeli. Does anyone have experience with this or a potential solution?
Yes I had this exact issue this week. It seems to be flight controller dependent and is to do with the pulse timing. I solved it by using BLHeli_S timing, i.e. SERVO_DSHOT_ESC = 2
Thank you! The problem ended up being the DShot needing to be on 1200 instead of 600 for some reason.
That would be the first time I have heard that reported as a fix for any Dshot problem.
