I can't set the PID using the transmitter

Hello.
I’m trying transmitter-based tuning to fine-tune my helicopter’s PID settings again, but I get an error message saying “Invalid channel option.”

The reference material I am using is probably for a multicopter, and I am having difficulty setting it up because my current mission planner does not allow me to switch to “Extended tuning.”

Please give me some advice.
Best regards.

I don’t think this makes a difference. I have a Cube Orange on the bench with Trade Heli loaded and I can set the Tune parameters in either the Extended Tune screen or the Full Parameter list.

What version of arducopter are you using?

If so, does anyone know why tuning with the transmitter shows “invalid channel option”?
The reference materials are not reliable.

I updated it regularly.
Mission Planner Ver. 1.3.82
I think this was the latest version.

Do you have something else configured on RC 6?

RC6 has a “transmitter tuning” setting.
Reverse and PWM values are initial settings.

@itagaki-jetset So is the reversed option set (RC6_REVERSE set to 1) on that channel? If it is then I think that is the issue. Set it back to 0 and see if the warning goes away.
Please post your parameters. That may make this a little easier

Mission planner is the GCS. What version of Ardupilot firmware is on the helicopter?

20250417_01param.param (19.8 KB)
This is the current parameter being changed.
RC6 is not set to reverse (1).
This is the same setting on the transmitter side.

My apologies.
The version of ardupilot is “ArduCopter V4.5.2”.

RC_OPTION,219 does not work on that version of Arducopter.

Set RC_OPTION,0

Then set TUNE to whatever you want to adjust.

In this version of AC, transmitter tuning will only work on channel 6. In later versions of AC transmitter tuning can be assigned to any channel, but you need to adjust the options accordingly.
