Hello smart people, I can’t figure out how to control Buzz pads, I would like to get a switchable 5v pad, please help
Setup it on servo_output then set up rc_pass to that channel
Sorry for my inexperience, day 2 in this program, can you tell me more about how to do this?
I need switching only on the BZ+ platform, I’m trying to connect the control leg of the relay to it
If you need to use it as a relay switch then you can set servo_output to relay and then in Rc_x channel on your radio that you choose to control that channel. Im not pretty sure im currently out of home but i think you can use PWM_9 which can be used as relay switch. Go to copter documentation website and find your board to see how to change that.

This is the problem, pwm_9 there is a PWM signal, they will not switch the relay
And I need switchable 5v, like on the buzzer, but I can’t reach the BZ+ pad
m6 thru m8 and s9 are PWM output (pulsed) so they can control a circuit but not a relay directly.
https://ardupilot.org/copter/docs/common-relay.html
Set PWM_9 to relay, then follow this documentation
Try this:
RELAY1_FUNCTION to Relay
Then set Relay1_Pin to match group that you connected to it
And set RCX_OPTION to relay on/off (X stand for channel you choose on your transmitter for example 9)
SERVO9_FUNCTION -1
I reached out to m7, but it produces a maximum of ~3.7V, my relay does not switch, how can I raise it to 5v: D
If you need a higer voltage as the controller can output you have to add a small electronic, a driver, in between. In the simplest case, this is a FET transistor with an open drain connection.
What kind of relay do you have?
I just ordered irf3205pbf, I can’t tell you the name of the old one, but it opens from 5v, the new one will be from 3, this problem is solved, I hope
But a new one appeared, I connected 4 LEDs, after dancing with tambourines I was able to turn them on, they glow constantly bright pink, I just need to figure out how to set them up, hahaha
I read about Lua scripts and controlling the backlight with their help, but they are not supported on my board
No, I don’t think that this problem is solved. The irf3205pbf is just a normal power MOSFET. Correct is that the threshold is defined as between 2 and 4V but this dosen’t mean that it is above 4V fully open. If you look to the diagramms on the datasheet ou see all start with a Ugs above 4.5V. To full open the channel you need upto 15 V. You either need a gate driver with higher voltage in front of the gate or you need a power MOSFET or a Logic Level MOSFET with a Ugs Threshold below 2V. But also in last case you did not switch this MOSFET fully open with 3.7V
Thank you, very interesting, but I quickly watched a video of how people work with Arduino using this mosfet, everything works fine for them at a voltage close to mine
I don’t like to follow some videos, I follow the official datasheets of the manufacturer.
The arduino has an output of 5V. Also it depends of the use case. If you will swith only some [mA] than it will work, if you want to switch lots of [A] it will not work. The max possible load current of the FET is a function of the gate source voltage. My assumption is if you use a power MOSFET then you will switch power. So what is your use case
I’m trying to build a design with a magnetic grip for my 7" drone, I have a 6S battery, I have a voltage reducer to 12V for the magnet, I just want to grab and release objects by pressing from the remote control.
Ideally, you would also figure out how to change the LED backlight when the capture is on or off
To select the correct FET not only the voltage is required also the current
