How to modify the system ID range used as the MAVLink communication identifier to expand to 2 bytes.

Hi @Leon1,

So I guess this is for a drone swarm or drone show with more than 255 vehicles? As @LupusTheCanine suggests, changing the sysid field size is a big ask. SkyBrush uses ArduPilot so I wonder how they get around this limitation. I suspect their swarm is built up of smaller groups of drones rather than a complete swarm
