I’m building a 4+1 VTOL using a CUAV X7+, shaped as a flying wing. My current servo setup is as follows:
SERVO1 = elevonLeft
SERVO2 = elevonRight
SERVO3 = throttle
SERVO4 = N/A
SERVO5 = motor1
SERVO6 = motor2
SERVO7 = motor3
SERVO8 = motor4
I connected an oscilloscope to check the servo outputs, and found that all pins output 50 Hz, except M5–M8, which are 400 Hz.
Since my VTOL has five brushless motors, I’d like to set the throttle brushless motor (SERVO3) to output 400 Hz as well.
My question is how to change the output frequency for the throttle motor to 400 Hz?
Are you trying to set up Dshot on the throttle? If that’s the case then the servos and motors can’t be on the same groups.
You won’t be able to have servo and dshot outputs mixed on pins 1-4. You’ll need to move the throttle output to a different group as noted in the link above.
But as @amilcarlucas said, for a throttle output on the horizontal motor there isn’t a ton of advantages. Maybe if you want telemetry logging for BDShot…
