the APM 2.4.5 arducopter is programmed and all parameters check out to arm and run, but when I arm it run until I put the throttle is idle mode then it shut off after a few seconds, can anyone help me with this issues? The very moment I arm the flight controller I get a error saying Initializing APM, the very error is Initializing APM, The flight controller will arm and run until you put the throttle in idle precision.
Few have any knowledge to share with that relic of a flight controller. Replace it with one that is supported.
Just increase the throttle and takeoff.
how can I remove all the mission planner software and documents that is corrupted on my P C and reload mission planner software version that not corrupt is that something that can be done?
Clear the Mission Planner folder in the document
Instead of operating the Mission Planner in that state, you can download and install ‘MissionPlanner lastest.msi’
No. He needs to uninstall Mission Planner. And needs to install a Mission Planner version from 2015. And never update it.
Just raise the throttle stick on your RC transmitter. There is nothing to configure in that 11 years old firmware.
can you help me with this issue, it will be very much appreciated, I have ask how to correct the problem with a error- initializing APM, I didn’t know until today it will only ARM when the communication wire is connected to the P C supplying power to flight controller module, again it will ARM when the communication wire is supplying the power to the module, and it will not ARM if the communication wire is not connected to the P C. I believe the mission planner software is corrupted, if you can show me how to get rid of the software and try to download mission planner software that is not corrupt, and let me say I have tried to delete, erase the software, but every time I download any of the mission planner software, the only software mission planner give me is that same corrupted software, so if I can get rid of the corrupted software and download one that not corrupt.
Mission planner is not corrupt!
You are using a Mission Planner from 2026 and a board that stopped being supported in 2016
Get a mission planner from 2015 from the archive:
Do this:
- uninstall all recent mission planner versions
- reboot the PC
- Install MP 1.3.31 from the year 2015
- Do any APM configurations that you need using MP and a USB cable
- Disconnect the USB cable to the APM
- Power the RC transmitter
- Power on the vehicle, including the APM
- Use the RC transmitter to ARM the vehicle
- Shortly after, move the throttle stick up on the RC transmitter to takeoff.
- done
Hey there, I hope you can see this, all the selections has no address, I took a picture so you can see what the error says, and the third picture is showing you that error 404, I’m not a engineer, but is this error 404 having anything to do with the software not loading?
Are you using ArduCopter, or ArduPlane?
Any why do you want to change the firmware in the first place?
No, absolutely nothing to do with firmware, that is a Map that is not loading. perfectly harmless.
You seam to have done steps 1, 2 and 3 on the list posted.
What is the problem of step 4? Step 4 does not tell you to write new firmware to the board.
I’m using the Arducopter, you said in a earlier statement that issue I’m having with the throttle being in idle position and it shut off in a few seconds, was normal with some flight controllers, and to keep it going is to give it a little throttle, I found out if I used the power module to power up the flight controller the program will run and the motors will calibrate, So I ask you again it will be safe to ride the drone and not worry about it stopping while I’m riding the drone, so as long as I am not in idle mode or stick not in idle position, I shouldn’t have to worry, it will operate properly, YES ?
Yes, it is safe. That is what we all been telling you all along.
EDIT: it is safe to use the remote controlled drone, you are not supposed to ride the drone.
ArduCopter controlled drones are not supposed to carry people nor animals.
Yes.
It is never safe to ride on a drone if you mean putting a human onboard. I hope this is just a language barrier/miscommunication, and what you really meant was safe to fly via remote control.
Ok, I have made a personal man drone which I intend to fly the drone with me in it operating the drone, so if the drone only shut off when you are just setting there, I assume it will operate ok without shutting off. Now if you feel it not safe then I need your help to get it right, I’m not sure if you can talk with one of the top engineers to help us find the problem, PLEASE. That vision you as me to use 1.3.31, I sent you a picture showing you that vision will not work with my P.C
No. We will not support this endeavor in any way, and I implore you not to try and ride on your craft.
