So I have a bud who finds his public IP address via “what is my IP address” website and it gives it to him, say it’s X.
I find mine using the same service, say it is Y.
Windows 11 Firewall (windows defender) has been set to allow Mission Planner to use Private and Public.
My drone has been properly booted. The transmitter is active and I have an active telemetry radio that my mission planner has been connected to via COM7 at 57600 baud. I am getting active telemetry. I could take off the drone right now with the way this is and Mission Planner would be active 100%.
I then go here to look up how to let my bud tap into my drone.
Nothing I read, nothing I follow allows us to link my drone to his Mission Planner.
Here is what I see on my end:
First question: How do I get rid of the first two lines as I need to start with a clean slate. It seems once you put in stuff here you can’t remove it. Hitting Started does NOT stop it. Rebooting the autopilot or Mission Planner or the desktop computer itself DOES NOT REMOVE THEM. How do I stop one so I can KNOW that it is stopped? How do I REMOVE them so I know that what Mission Planner is paying attention to??
Second Question: How do I get this to work? I want my bud to see my drone’s output (splitting the mavlink stream over the internet). I want him to be able to send my drone commands.
There is a LOT of confusing documentation out there, please help!!
