Hello everyone, I am using COPTER 4.6.3 firmware and hope to use downward radar to enable the drone to obtain terrain following function, but I have encountered some issues in the settings.
I have set the auxiliary channel RC7 to 10.rangefinder instead of the 75 mentioned in the official documentation, Surface Tracking Up/Down.
In loiter mode, I turn on the auxiliary switch and use manual flight, and the drone will change altitude according to the terrain undulations. In automatic mode, I used the mission planner and set the altitude type to terrain, and the terrain following function of the drone also performed normally. When I tried to use the Qgroundcontrol ground station for route planning, I also set the altitude type to terrain, but after switching to automatic mode, the drone stopped in place and I checked that the route was already in flight control. When I switched the altitude type to sea level altitude, the route was executed normally, but the drone no longer followed the terrain for flight.
I have a few questions about this:
Is this caused by the Qgroundcontrl ground station?
What is the difference between Mode 10 and Mode 75? Is my setting correct?
3. Now that the RNGFND-GAIN parameter has been removed, will the SURFTRAK_TC parameter that controls radar sensitivity take effect when my channel is set to 10 instead of 75?
Thank you very much everyone!
