I’m Val, I’m flying a 10" quadcopter with ardupilot 4.6.2, and I have a question. I’m french, and I tried trough AI to find my answer but I don’t have what I can consider as a true answer for the moment.
In Mission Planner, I am setting up a Home position (I guess it’s mandatory since it’s always on the screen). The fact is that, sometimes, I will want to take off from another position, sometimes, far away from this theoritical home position, and I don’t have my laptop with me.
Is it a problem ? Is ARDUCOPTER reseting systematically home position on arming? Can this difference between theoritical and true home position can create some troubles like offsets on WP, Fly away on take off…?
My question is: If a home is set in mission planner (via Set Home Here command), does it have any influence or is the position is set anyway when quad is armed?
From the link: but it may also be moved at any time.
More detail: Users who want their vehicle to always return to a specific location (regardless of where it was armed) will want to use the “Set Home Here” option.
