Here 4 GPS stuck at white light

Hello Experts,
I am facing a issue where my Here 4 GPS is stuck at white light randomly after some flights (happened on 7 new GPS out of 100),

Configuration:-
I am using PX4 (1.15.2) autopilot running on Cube orange+, with Here4 GPS

Once the solid white light appear, the GPS is not detecting by the PX4. I also uploaded Ardupilot but the problem remains the same.
I also tried to update the firmware on the Here4 GPS using ardupilot and mission planner [https://docs.cubepilot.org/user-guides/here-4/here-4-manual#id-3.-firmware-update](https://official website)
but a ? appears in the name column, No HW version, No SW version,
I am not able to communicate with the GPS through Drone CAN GUI tool, nor by U blox U centre tool,

I am attaching a log file and videos for reference June_12_HERE4_Issue
Please help me to solve the issue.

Thank You

Then you are in the wrong forum. The PX4 forum is here PX4 forum Or try the CubePilot forum.

Thank You

Hi

We are facing same issue.
Out of 50 gps almost 30 here 4 stuck in white lite that too after couple of flights

Did you find any solution

I also have this issue. I’m beginning to develop with ArduRover on a Cube Orange+. The GPS had various LED colors over the past day and at some point got stuck in white today. I have it plugged into the CAN1 port.

Waranty replacement. It failed for ever. I faced the same issue

I believe Cube Pilot are working on a fix.

any1 has solution to fix this? I’m facing same exact issue

It’s beeen a while since cube has responded on this issue. Lots of my here4 gps are having these issues while others with same firmware is working normally

Any solutions to this?

I believe the issue has been found, and something should be published soon.

There’s been two issues I think:

  1. broken track affecting the compass
  2. bootloader issue giving white LEDs - may require a JTAG programmer to update the bootloader so there will probably be a returns process.

This is just going by what I’ve read over at Cube Pilot.

Thanks for the update! Where can I specifically watch for further details?

UPDATE

  • Make sure the Here4 is connected to the CAN1 bus by the blue/white wires
  • Be sure to do the bootloader update procedure.
  • The SW version after update is: 1.15.5F1FC167

The Here4 I updated was not already bricked or faulty, but the update process did work.

Wondering if this applies to the Here4 Blue, I asked on the Cubepilot forum but the question is awaiting moderation

I pinged one of the CubePilot devs as well.

I updated a Here4 Blue and it still works OK

I meant more if the problem was a safety of flight issue for the Here4 Blues as well

That I dont know actually. I think basically all Here4’s are the same and the Blue was about supply chain assurance - now they are all as compliant as each other.

do we have to update the bootloader for sure i have here4 unit paired with cube orange plus should i have to update it or wait.

Yes you definitely have to update the Here4 bootloader - read the original instructions carefully and you’ll see that it’s very easy to do.
