Green Bars In Radio Calibration Not Moving

Hello,

I’m currently having trouble calibrating my radio in MissionPlaner. Whenever I move the sticks on my radio, I don’t see the green bars in the radio calibration tab moving.

I’m using:

  1. Matek F405-VTOL Flight Controller
  2. Taranis Qx-7 Radio
  3. Radio Master R88 Receiver

I attached a servo the receiver and the servo moves when I move around my radio; so I think the receiver isn’t properly comunicating with the flight controller.

I have setup:

  1. BRD_ALT_CONFIG = 1
  2. SERIAL6_PROTOCOL= 23
  3. SERIAL6_OPTIONS = 3

Please let me know what I can do to fix this.

Attached are phots of my setup:

That looks like an R88 v1, about which I can find very little information, but I’m not sure it outputs anything other than 8 channel PWM, which is not compatible with modern autopilots. If I’m correct, you are simply sending Ch8’s output, alone, which isn’t very useful.

Thank you so much! I replaced it with an R-XSR receiver and it worked!

If you still want to use the R88, insert a PPM/SBUS encoder, connecting the eight signals and supply.
