GPS Connectivity Issue

Hello everyone,

I’m facing an issue with my GPS module as it’s not being detected when connected to the Pixhawk for testing. When I connect it to the Pixhawk’s GPS port, there’s no response in Mission Planner, and the GPS LED doesn’t blink, which suggests it might not be initializing correctly. To verify the module’s functionality, I tested it with an Arduino UNO using the appropriate TX, RX, GND, and VCC connections, but it also fails to get detected there, with no response from the module. I have already checked that the power supply is being properly provided to the GPS IC, so it is receiving power. Additionally, I’ve verified all connections, ensured proper polarity, tried different cables and ports, and tested with different baud rates, but nothing seems to work. I’m unsure whether the issue lies with the hardware or with the configuration, and I’d appreciate any suggestions. Thank you!

What is the make/model of the GPS?

Thank you for your attention to this topic, The model is Neo M8N.

NEO M8N is just the name of the UBLOX GPS chip. So you are using directly this chip and built your own module with it?
Or did you use a ready made module. This was the question of @marblecreek

This is the GPS module I am using, and it is a ready-made module:

Comes this GPS with a manual showing the details (cable colors) about the connector.
Give detailed information which pin of GPS you connected to which pin of your FC or Testplatform
Did the Led of GPS once right in the moment you switch power to it.
Did you test outside?
