Getting Heartbeat but Param requests hang

Title says it all.

I have a serial connection to a companion computer running mavp2p (or mavlink-router). When I connect Mission Planner or QGroundControl through mavlink-router, I see some telemetry, but the parameter request times out. Sometimes, if I enable SRx_PARAMS to a nonzero value, parameters will go through, but an explicit config on the autopilot shouldn’t matter, should it?
