Futaba 3003 servo rotates after rebooting

Hi
Iam using Futaba servo 3003 for material dropping. But servo starts rotating to some angle automatically every time i reboot the drone.I’ve setup the servo as per guidelines but still facing this issue.
So guide me what i’m doing wrong

Hi there, welcome to the community.

We can only guide you in what you did wrong after you explain exactly what you did.

Without that information all we can say is: read the documentation, it works fine when you follow it.

Does it happen or power up or only on commanded resets?

That seems an old analog servo, so it is not clear what it will do on power up, till it receives pulses, compares its timing to its own generated pulse, and so on. You can try to supply it without signal and compare behaviour.

The FC microprocessor will also take its time to program the output to the servo as output, and there may be other elements in between complicating things.

In the past I suffered a similar problem with a simple (stupid) PWM controller: on power up the PWM transistors received what appeared as a “high”, and motors moved briefly till outputs being programmed. The solution was simple: soldering weak pulldowns.

it happens on power ups

What happens if you power the servo on with no pulses? With and without a pull down resistor if you can.
