Frame type issue

I had my APM controller on my Hex (which was flying fine), and moved it over to a Quad (X configuration).

I went through the Wizard and ‘told’ the controller that I had an “X4”.

I connected the motors according to the chart, but when I did a MOTOR TEST, I find
that the right-front motor (motor #1) is found at Motor “B”, the right-rear is motor "C"
the left-rear motor is motor “E” and the left-front motor is motor “F”. This does not correspond
to the letters shown in any documentation that I have seen.

So I tried to fly the quad anyway, and it got about a foot off the ground and flipped over. Obviously
my motors are not connected at the right places. But…

I have the right-front motor connected to output #1, the left-rear motor connected to output #2, the left-front connected to output #3, and the right-rear connected to output #4. This is also correct according to all the documentation I have.

So what is going on?

Problem solved!

I went back and reloaded firmware. This time it shows 4 motors (not 6) and all is well.
