I’m guessing that someone installed some new website software today - the forum is going kinda crazy on my computers today.
Maybe someone should back it out to the previous version until this version’s issues can be sorted out.
Thanks

Seems ok in California.
What are the issues you’re experiencing?
I’ve seen this issue pop up from time to time, so I don’t think it’s a result of recent changes
It’s AI/bot crawlers that overwhelm the site with traffic. It has been an ongoing battle for the past year. Nothing new. Very irritating.
We employ several countermeasures, but as we evolve, so do the bots, and we can’t be super draconian or it would negatively impact user experience even more.
there are serious stability issues at the moment, lots of “too many requests” errors at the nginx level and other errors. I’ll try to find some time to work on it, but have a lot of urgent things to do right now
@tridge, @khancyr and I have been doing what we can within the limits of the web interface. We both agree that a more robust infrastructure change is warranted. Happy to chat further on Discord.
I’ve made a change to increase the various rate limits in discourse, it seems to be more stable now, but please do report more issues. Main place we are discussing issues in real time is the infrastructure channel in the discord server
