Flaps and Ailerons in Arduplane

Flaps and Ailerons in Arduplane

This probably applies to all recent versions of Arduplane, so hopefully someone can clear things up a little for me.

I am installing a Pixhawk in a Bixler 2 airframe and would like to utilize the flaps. So I have 2 servos for the aileron and 2 servos for the flaps. I can use servo splitters for each function, thereby only using 2 RC outputs from the Pixhawk, BUT, if I read the AP Docs correctly, I could put each individual servo on its own RC output from the Pixhawk, using the RCx_FUNCTION options.

So my question is, are there any pros or cons to using 2 or 4 RC outputs for flaps and ailerons?

Separate outputs are better if mechanical precision is not perfect, or servos or wings are mirrored so one extends at high pwm, the other extends at low pwm

For the Ailerons, they are installed such that a simple splitter would work fine. BUT for the flaps, one of the servos would need to be reversed if I wanted to use a splitter.
