Failing to install ardupilot cube orange: Updated

Hi all,

I managed to install px4, which all works well, but I want to switch to ardupilot. Both in Missionplanner and in QGC the installation finishes, but the cube orange is not recognized by the ground stations. If I install px4, I have no problems.

Thanks in advance!

QGroundControl can upgrade the firmware on Pixhawk devices, SiK Radios and PX4 Flow Smart Cameras.
All QGroundControl connections to vehicles must be disconnected prior to firmware upgrade.
Please unplug your Pixhawk and/or Radio from USB.

This happens, and that’s it.

We can not reproduce that. Please post a lot more details!

I’m running px4 v1.12 on my cube orange and I’m using the latest version of qgc and mission planner. I want to use ardupilot. However, when I try to install it from either qgc or mission planner, I have the same problem. The ground station says the flashing is done and all went well, but it doesn’t come online. After installing ardupilot in windows it only shows COM3 cube boot loader, and for px4 is shows COM4 and COM4. I don’t want to flash via DFU, since I would have to open my cube orange. If I can provide more details, please let me know!

One extra remark: In the installation of ardupilot qgc mentions that parameter_xml and airframe_xml are missing, but for px4 it states “Succesfully decompressed airframe_xml”

Please update to the latest QGC software version (daily) and latest MP version.
Post their versions here, for validation.

For my purposes I got px4 to work so I will stay with that, since also mavsdk is optimized for px4. If I need ardupilot in the future, I will ask our hardware specialist to put it in DFU mode. Thanks for the help, but the topic can be closed now.
