Failed VID/PID unknown on a APM 2.8 FC

Please can i have a helping hand from you ?i bought a APM 2.8.Arducopter FC using mission planner 1.3.2 but the message i got is Failed VIA/PID unknown or board string can someone help me ?

Hello @Paul_Nkulu welcome to the community.

That board is approximately 12 years old, and is not supported since 2106.
You might be lucky and some users in this forum might help you, but the chances are slim, no knowledgeable user uses that hardware anymore.

I don’t know much concerning This flight controller and mission planner i wanted to test it but now i’m facing this problem.i need help from you my community

You need to use a Mission Planner version from 2015. And you need to read the posts on the UnSupported hardware section of this forum.
