I’ve spent a ridiculous amount of time trying to solve this issue and could really use some input.
Setup:
I’m running a Mateksys H743-Slim v4 flight controller together with an M9N-G4-3100 GPS/compass module. They’re connected via CAN, and I’ve set the parameters according to Mateksys’ instructions.

After some testing with compass parameters in ArduPilot, I’ve got the following result:
I can see the module in the UAVCAN Inspector, and everything looks correct there. I can also see a compass with the same device ID under the Compass tab in Mission Planner.
The GPS works great — fast lock and good accuracy.
But the compass heading only follows the flight controller, not the external GPS/compass module.
As far as I know, the H743-Slim v4 doesn’t have a real compass onboard, so I’m guessing the heading it shows comes from accelerometer.
After spending way too much time on this, I still can’t get the heading in Mission Planner to follow the external compass.
I’ve attached the relevant parameters, logs, and screenshots from UAVCAN and the Compass setup page below.
Really appreciate any tips on what I might be missing.
