Effect of Save Trim and Auto Trim in RCx_TRIM

Hi,
I had some doubts on how the save trim and auto trim work.

  1. After performing the steps mentioned in the documentation for save trim and auto trim (AutoTrim — Copter documentation)), is the trim data saved in the RCx_TRIM parameter?
  2. It is mentioned in the documentation that the trim can be set manually by setting the AHRS_TRIM_X and AHRS_TRIM_Y parameters. Does setting these two parameters set the roll and pitch channel RCx_TRIM parameter which will be used in the controller while processing the RC input data?

Can anyone please help me understand this?
