Driving standard rc servo from main outputs

I have a cube pilot orange and i am useing servo output with ardurover. My rc Rx is connected with sbus. The outputs go to a vesc(motor controler) and a arduino. I have got neither working. The vesc is hocked up with ppm into the servo outputs. I would be interested in using uart.
I have tested the servo wth a servo tester and it works.
Plugging the servo ito main output 2 does not work.

How do you setup the outputs for standardRC servos

Have you read the documentation on “ArduRover servo outputs”?

I went trough the inital setup guide. under the first time setup section.
I have tried seting the outputs to be the same as the input chanels aswell as setting them to throttle and stering (ground stering).
