Hello - I have read conflicting posts on this topic. I have a 2 axis mount with 2 brushless gimbal motors. Do I need to a separate controller or can I plug the motor leads directly into the output ports on my Pixhawk and use MP to configure the system?

No, you can not connect brushless motors directly to the Pixhawk. You can, however, connect a brushless gimbal controller to the Pixhawk.
