Hi all, sorry if this is a repost, but I didn’t manage to find the (exact) same question.
I recently purchased a Pixhawk to replace my APM 2.5+ on my quadcopter. All components of the quad were the same, except for the Pixhawk, GPS+Compass, Telemetry, PPM encoder and PWM. When I was trying to start it earlier I noted some strange behaviour, such as the ESCs beeping to indicate an error. I played around with the setup and discovered that the board will only get power if the ESCs are connected to the output channels of the Pixhawk. I’m assuming that this is the BEC circuit powering the board. I can also power the board through the USB cable.
I’ve attempted to run motortest through the terminal, but again the ESCs beep at me, but motors won’t spin. I’ve tried to perform ESC calibration, but then they don’t respond at all.
All the wires of the pwm seem to be intact, so my question to you guys is; Have I missed something, or do I have a faulty pwm? It’s driving me crazy!
@CptStubbs,
When you say PWM due you really mean Pulse Width Modulation or do you mean Power Module.
If you mean Pulse Width Modulation then your post is in the wrong sub Forum and should go in an ArduCopter sub Forum.
Otherwise, if you mean Power Module then you are in the right sub Forum.
