DJI O4 OSD configuration

Hi all,

I purchased an O4 Pro transmitter and the DJI Goggles 3 headset, which I would like to connect to the Cube Orange+ autopilot. I tried every way to configure the parameters by following the instructions on the website, on the forum and watching the various video tutorials, but I was unable to display the OSD on the headset.

Can someone help me?

Thanks in advance,

Fausto

Hi Fausto,

Could you share a copy of your parameters?

Is your VTX connected correctly: Gray TX wire to RX on the FC, and white RX wire to the TX on the FC UART?

ETA: Also, which connector are you using on the FC?

Take a look at this thread.

Here’s the main point:

Hi all,

Thanks for the replies. I tried configuring Telemetry Port 2, which should correspond to Serial Port 2, using the parameters suggested by Duane, but I still don’t see the OSD on the Goggles 3. I’ve checked the connections between the O4 unit several times, and they are: pin 3 of the connector on O4 connected to pin 2 of the telemetry port on CubePilot, pin 4 on the O4 unit connected to pin 3 on CubePilot, pin 2 on CubePilot (GND) connected to pin 6 on CubePilot. I power the O4 unit with a separate battery due to its high consumption.

I attach the list of parameters:

Parameter list.param (22.9 KB)

Thanks for reply…

It looks like you have everything configured correctly.

Have you tried using a different port (e.g., GPS 2)?

Hi all,

It seems I’ve solved the problem… I needed to set OSD_TYPE = 5 and OSD_TYPE2 = 5… I forgot to set OSD_TYPE2 to 5. Now I need to fix the character layout. On the Goggles 3, you can only select Betaflight or Inav; I selected the former because the characters are garbled with Inav. Now I need to figure out how to fix everything on Mission Planner.
Thanks everyone for your help. If you have any questions regarding radio frequency issues, I’m happy to help.
