Direct drive tail rotor spinning when unarmed

Hi,

I am using APM 2.6 electronics and the tail rotor is a direct drive brushless. When I plug in the battery, the tail rotor ESC will start spinning before I’ve armed the helicopter, but the main rotor doesn’t spin until after it is armed.

Sounds like you may have rc pass thru setup for that rc input… have you checked that?

Thanks, I’m using RC channel 4 for output for the tail rotor ESC, I don’t see a RC4_FUNCTION
parameter to set passthrough to false, they seem to be for RC channels 5 and higher only I think…

Oh have you checked if reversing channel 4 changes anything ?? Just a thought. …

Hi,

I tried reversing it on my radio and on the mission planner, still the channel is armed even if
the helicopter is disarmed, I think its a bug.
