Cube node data flow

Hello everyone,

I am very new to ArduPilot and Cube hardware, so please excuse any basic mistakes in my understanding.

I have successfully connected a Cube Orange+, a Cube Node (ETH), and my laptop (LEPi) using a Cube LAN switch. All devices are powered correctly, link LEDs are active, and I am able to access the Cube Node web interface from my laptop after assigning IP addresses to both the Cube Node and the laptop.

At this point, I am confused about what the next step is.

My main questions are:

  1. After assigning IP addresses and accessing the Cube Node web UI, how is sensor data from the Cube Node actually sent to the ground station?

  2. Is the Cube Node expected to send any flight data directly to the ground over IP, or is all data first sent to the Cube Orange+, which then forwards it to the ground station using MAVLink?

  3. If the correct flow is Cube Node → Cube → Ground, what configuration steps on the Cube are required to ensure the Cube is properly using the Cube Node sensor data?

I am trying to understand the data flow conceptually, not just follow setup steps.
If I have misunderstood the role of IP or the Cube Node, please correct me — I am here to learn.

I am working on the Cube Node. I have assigned IP addresses to the Cube Node, Cube, and my laptop. I am using TCP, but the Cube node is still not connecting to the laptop even after assigning the IP addresses. Because of this, I am unable to see in Mission Planner. Please let me know if I am missing any step or if I need to configure something else.
