Copter continuously rotating along z axis

Hello Forum,

I took total of 6 flights and in 2nd and 6th flights I noticed that the drone is continuously rotating while following its waypoints. I initially calibrated but in 2nd flight I observed this behaviour and i again calibrated accelerometer, compass and gyroscope. After that I took another 4 flights and the last flight I observed same behaviour. Everything was normal in 3rd, 4th and 5th, however it again occurred in 6th flight. Nothing was changed in between.

Here are the logs.

Probably one arm is twisted causing “yaw imbalance” .

Thank you for the response amilcarlucas

There was no alignement issue in the arm, from 2st to 6th flight the drone was physically intact.

Many users have that problem and usually the first time they look for it they also do not find it.

Then they do look more carefully and they do find it.

Sometimes the arm rotates and the problem appears, then you grab the copter, the arm moves again and the problem disappears. It can be an intermittent problem if the motors are a bit loose.

Post pictures and search this forum for “yaw imbalance”.

Looks like something told the drone to rotate, probably RCIN4 = 1500 in combination with RC4_TRIM being 1445 and a deadzone (RC4_DZ) of only 20. Also you didn’t set the checkbox for “ignore pilot yaw” during guided mode, so you gave the drone a constant order to yaw.

Also why are you on Copter 4.1.5? Update to 4.5.2 or 4.5.3-beta.
