Copter 4.6.x Cube Orange crash_dump / watchdog after Loiter crash

Copter 4.6.x Cube Orange watchdog / crash_dump after Loiter crash

Hello,

I am using a Cube Orange / Orange Cube+ with ArduCopter 4.6.x on a Quad X drone.

The vehicle flew normally in Stabilize mode, but crashed shortly after switching to Loiter.
Afterwards Mission Planner shows:
“Crash dump incomplete, dumping what we got!”
or crash_dump related warning.

I have attached:

  • crash_dump.bin
  • crash flight DataFlash log
  • previous Stabilize flight log
  • parameter file

In the crash log I also saw messages related to:

  • MAG anomaly
  • yaw re-aligned
  • EKF lane switch
  • GPS Glitch or Compass error

Could someone please check whether the crash_dump indicates a firmware watchdog/hardfault issue, or whether this is only a remaining dump from the crash event?

A vehicle crash generally shouldn’t caause the watchdog to dump memory and reset the FC.
