In your view, why cube needs to have a separate folder to host two *.apj files? Are you suggesting bdshot was turned on by default for Micoair?
I do not know what is the reason behind 2 firmware versions for some of FC, I am just saying it works on my desk with default firmware out of the box on my micoair H743v2 and 45A AIO.
May I know how do you verify bdshot was loaded and working?
For example ESC RPMs info available without serial port telemetry.
There are many boards where bdshot is supported but doesn’t have an explicit firmare ‘-bdshot. As always just look at the hwdef file. 8 channels are supported on that board.
It’s supported by default. We try and do that on all newer firmware rather than having a separate version.
