@vierfuffzig, OK, so your tests using the bmp280 barometer were all done with latest. I’ll revert/modify the comment on the wiki to make it more clear that the bmp280 has not been successfully tested with Copter-3.6.
@MarcK, It seems like we may not have support in Copter-3.6.6 for the BMP280 so I think the short-term options are to try using the Drotek MS5611 which has been confirmed to work on Copter-3.6.6 or be patient and wait for a future version of Copter to be released with the BMP280 support. I’ll add it to the 3.6 to-do list but I can’t make any promises when it will go in.

@rmackay9 i‘m sorry for the confusion regarding specific firmware versions and board types. right now i can’t really wrap my head around why the rescpective AP_Baro version would probe for only the MS5611 on external I2C specifically and exclusively. i don’t have an MS5611 to test with right now though.
