Connection problems with telemetry modules

I recently purchased an Orange+ Cube and am setting up the system on a test model. I had two 433 MHz telemetry modules from 3DR first generation, which worked well despite having a somewhat limited range. So, before investing a certain amount of money in two modules like the Cuav P8 or RF Design, I wanted to purchase a pair of 868 MHz Lora modules, model DX-LR03, which are quite inexpensive. Using the supplied software, I configured them transparently with a serial speed of 57,600 baud and tested the communication between the two PCs, which occurred without any problems. At this point, I created the connection cable to the flight controller, making sure that the RX and TX ports were connected correctly. However, once I attempted to connect to Mission Planner, the connection to the flight controller failed. Has anyone by any chance tried these or similar modules and can give me some advice? I’m not sure what else I could do.

Your module is a very low speed LORA comm module, default air rate is 244bit/s (yes bit/sec), max air rate is 13Kbit/sec, with very limited range.
It is not a right comm module for telemetry.

Thanks for your reply, I figured it was a speed issue. I’ve partially solved the problem so far by using the old 433 MHz 3DR modules and improving the antennas both onboard and on the ground. Do you think there are other options available with LoRa modules, or do I need to purchase dedicated modules like the Cuav P8 or RF Design?

Depending on your needs, I’ve had good luck with MLRS and Mavlink over ELRS (as of version 4.0). Much cheaper than RFD hardware, but maybe not as robust for expensive mission critical systems.
