Configuring a Pixhawk6X Rover

I’d like to use qground control. I have an RC Rover setup ready, but I burned out the last one “I think” with a bad solder job.
what can/should I do when the device arrives. what are recommended first steps?
for example I don’t know for sure that my pixhawk is bad because I didn’t do any initial qa. its not acting right, but still powering up with lights blinking and I had a device blow that it was connected to.

b) Don’t do anything silly like connecting servos straight to the RC output on the FC. - This is for signal output only and not to power equipment.
