Compass Calibration will not Start

This is my first time trying to configure a blackbox flight recorder for a plane.

Hardware is a Matek H743 Slim v4, and GPS/compass M9M-5883

I’m using the latest Arduplane v4.6.3 and Mission Planner 1.3.83 When I start trying to setup the unit , Accel Calibration is fine, but Compass Calibration fails to start, although when I click ‘start’, ‘accept’ and ‘cancel’ change, but no text appears in the box and it appears that no matter how I rotate the hardware, it appears that the set up is not running.

I have a 3d fix with the gps, the external compass has been detected, priority 1, I2C bus, address 44 and type QMC 5883P

When I look at messages in data, I have prearm RTL Mode not armable, prearm Radio failsafe on and prearm compass not calibrated. The last test was in the middle of my back garden, well away from any metal objects.

I’ve been at this for some days now, so any help would be appreciated.

Does ur firmware have the appropriate drivers.. check the features flags.. sometimes its removed

Well after a lot of work, the issue was a bad firmware build. I was following instructions from UKF3A association, but when looking and following through the Ardupilot notes, I was able to complete a compass calibration.

So it was the firmware build after all
