Hi,
I am working in a project where I will build a fixed wing aircraft that will perform vertical takeoff and landing
Is ardupilot autopilot good ?
Regarding the software, Which one should I use ? and is there any coding involved ?
Regards,
Ahmad
Yes of course it is, we invent most things around here
You will need a Pixhawk and to read this http://ardupilot.org/plane/docs/quadplane-support.html

Dear Gary_Mortimer
I would like to thank you for the article
So after reading the article I have seen that there is no coding involved. It’s done by the GUI software. Am I right ?
and I am confused which one to use mission planner or APM planner ( I will use pixhawk autopilot) ?
I am new here and don’t have any previous experience in this field so I am sorry for any annoyance.
Regards,
Ahmad
Hi Ahmad
Its going to be a steep learning curve. Might I suggest you get a Bixler 3 and learn how to fly it and then modify it to be an SLT
Mission Planner is the GCS you want.
Spend plenty of hours with the wiki, its a lot cheaper than noob crashes!
