I’m working on a survey drone setup X8 Coaxial configuration u8 100kv Tmotor, 28.2*9 Floding propeller, Alpha 60A Tmotor , Cube orange ,4 Lipo batteries total 40,000mah 12S and using dual gps rover and on the drone to get compass correction and RTK base starion
and would appreciate some experienced eyes on my configuration. I’ve attached my .bin flight log.
Could someone please review my parameters, log flight and let me know if the current tuning looks solid, or if it needs adjustments? @amilcarlucas i will apricate it of you take a look on log files
I actually purchased this vehicle as a Ready-To-Fly (RTF) unit from a company in Germany. According to them, the drone is fully configured and tuned.
However, upon reviewing the parameter files myself, the tune looks quite poor to me. Since it came pre-configured, I haven’t used AMC on it yet.
Could you please take a quick glance at the files I uploaded just to confirm if my assessment is correct? If you confirm that the tune is indeed bad or incorrect, I will definitely start from scratch and use AMC to do a proper configuration and tune.
When? This is running V4.3.6 firmware from 3 yrs ago. There are many parameters at default and the Notch filter is doing nothing. Set to Dynamic FFT but FFT is not enabled. Tuning does indeed look poor.
Often old firmware is running on commercial craft because it’s custom firmware based on that old version. Not sure what you have here.
I actually had the exact same thought—that they might be running a custom or modified version of an older firmware. However, when the drone arrived, I simply connected the Cube Orange to Mission Planner (MP) and found the parameters looking this weird.
To be absolutely sure, I did a quick test flight to generate a log file, If you take a look at the flight performance in the log, you’ll see it is quite poor. It managed to fly somewhat acceptably in Loiter mode, but in Alt Hold mode, the performance and flying was very bad
also the company didn’t provide any original parameter files, tuning documentation, if there they have custom firmware Everything I have is just what was already loaded on the flight controller itself and herelink controller .
