Channel 6 used for something else other than tuning?

Any way to use channel 6 for something other than tuning?

After i get my quad all tuned up, i was hoping to use channels 6,7,8 for Land, SimpleMode and Flip or some other configuration. Anyway to do that?

You can use channel 6, 7 and 8 for anything. controlling a gimbal or maybe dropping a ball from a servo. What your asking is mode changes right? If so I would just use some mixing so you can have a 6 position setup for your different flight mode.

this type of connection works for 8CH receivers:

but anybody using 6CH receivers? How does it work?
