Hello,
I’m working on a project involving a drone swarm of six drones. I’m using the RFD 900x V2 modem with multipoint firmware, but no matter what I do, I can only connect a maximum of four drones to Mission Planner. The connection quality of the connected drones was very poor, and the connection process took a very long time to retrieve parameters.
To resolve this issue, I tested several possible configurations for airspeed and baudrate. The drones all have different SYSID_THISMAV values, and all drones have different NODEIDs and the same NETID. All of them have a DESTID of 1, meaning they all communicate with the RFD connected to the GCS. On the Master RFD, the DESTID is 255, and I made sure to enter and save the command AT&M0=0,7. The other settings for the Master Node and the first Slave are as shown in the photo. The only difference between the other Slaves and the Slave in the photo is their different NODEID values.
The LEDs on all RFDs on the network are blinking in a way that indicates they’re all connected, but the connection to the mission planner is quite poor, and I can’t even see some drones in the mission planner. How can I fix this? I’ve tried different baudrates up to 230 and airspeeds up to 224, but the connection quality has always been terrible, and I’ve never been able to connect more than four drones.
I’m open to any suggestions on how to resolve this issue.
