Cannot use SCLAN in MP to configure CAN devices cannot connect

the process given for using SCLAN doesnt work .At best it works sometimes .
The screen descriptions are absolutely pointless in helping .
I can see .com ports for both MAV and SCLAN . when I go into UAVCAN page to configure I cant connect . Strangely it says I need to be on UAVCAN screen …THATS WHERE I AM !!!
The thing makes no sense at all and I cant find much on this CANBUS stuff for directions .
Looks like more hardware to stay away from only because I cant find directions that work !
The arduplane docs are of no use .

Any help would be appreciated as this hardware is ready to go back , cant use it !!

  • Disconnect from the vehicle.
  • Select ArduPilot SLCAN com port from the dropdown menu but DO NOT CONNECT.
  • Go to DroneCan/UAVCAN screen.
  • Click to SLCan Mode Can 1.
  • On the dialog, click OK.
    It should appear on the list.
