Can a ESC low voltage failsafe cause a motor to stop midair?

Hi Dave - I’m interested in a comment you made above. So given that I can’t go any larger than 11" on this chassis, you think higher Kv motors would be a better fit for the application? In essence the limited prop size on the low Kv motors is a poor combination and therefore I’d be better with motors which can deliver more rpm? Thanks.

Yea. 580-650Kv, in that range.

Thanks for the tip about ecalc - that’s exactly what I needed.

I’ve got 6x Quanum 630Kv motors and a new battery on the way.

Regarding the ESC/motor sync issue I raised above, I noticed a comment about this on the Autotune wiki page which I had missed before:

AutoTune can request very large and fast changes in output s to the motors which can cause ESC sync issues especially when using SimonK firmware and/or low KV motors (under 500KV).
